The Elementary Department offers further development of skills and concepts begun during the first three years in the Early Childhood Department. Each year word attack skills, comprehension and writing skills are strengthened. Knowledge of Mathematics is extended through hands on activities. Accomplishments in Science become greater through research, experiments and discussions. Standardized and state board examinations become a part of life at this level. Through high academic expectations, strict discipline and great love and affection, confidence grows and thus students are fully prepared to face the challenges of the Upper School.
